Unfortunately, I must start out by saying sorry, because I’m sure my opinion on our government and the way it is run is becoming redundant, since in every post I go back to the fact that I fell our government is run and influenced purely by money, who has it, where and how they can get it, and who is going to fund their campaign or special interest. I think that just like the idea of the presidency, the idea of congress, the senate, and checks and balances was all set up with the idea that it would always support the ideal democracy, and that our founding fathers truly did have our, the people’s, interest at heart, and wanted to make this the best, and most honest place to live in the world. Well, they did succeed, to an extent, because I think there is no way they could have predicted how things would have progressed the way they have. However, I think that congress, as it is today, limits authentic representation. Congress today, to, is based on political party influence, special interests, and personal campaigns. Congress members must stay true to the party that voted them in, and this is not always taking the side of the people on issues. They must also think about their own campaign and what is going to get them reelected in the next election, who will fund it. And of course, it is all about the money in the end.
Like other, I feel that this class has opened my eyes on how our government is run, I always thought it was centered around money, but this class has made me more aware of all the other parts of government that are not what people think it is.

I chose to review Rosellen Hamilton’s blog. I feel like the mission on her blog is to state her opinion and feelings about the particular questions ask of her. She is honest and up front with her answers and thoughts and I think she is just putting her thoughts out. So to me the mission came across as stating her honest opinion.
ReplyDeleteI think that this blog is organized and the posts are well written. I like that she uses pictures at the end of the postings to represent what the topic is she is writing about. Some of the pictures are very telling of how she feels about a particular topic or question. I like the background that was chosen. I think the orange really livens up the page and makes it seem more of a fun blog than real serious. I liked that.
I think that the blog could use the whole page in a more effective way. I think that she should add more than just the posts. I know in my blog I use the outside edges for other information, like a news feed and I have seen that done on other blogs. So I would say maybe just add some more information to the blog other than just the posts themselves.
I think that as a whole the blog is really well done. I love the background that was chosen and that the answers to the questions have real honest answers and that she isn’t afraid of speaking her mind. I think that as a whole she doesn’t need to make any changes other than use the whole page. It just seemed like she hasn’t played around with all of the features that are offered yet. Overall, I thought that she did a good job and that it was interesting to read.
